Tasks
When you access the Task module you will be presented with the following screen:

There are three types of task in insureflow. The first type of task is one that is completely manually created. You would create this by going into a risk from the Risk module and click to create a task in the new task screen (please see video in Tasks within the Risk module section):

There are also tasks that are automatically created by workflow or logic in a risk or claim. So, for instance, if you create a risk that's got subjectivities, you might automatically create a task for seven days time to chase them down.
For these two types of tasks, they just get updated and closed manually by the appropriate users.
The third type of task in insureflow is called an authorisation. An authorisation task is only created by workflow and logic.
An example of that might be where a risk is referred from a broker portal, or a peer review, or an underwriter authorisation level referral etc. In that instance, the risk will go to a certain status (e.g. referred) and an authorisation task would be created for a user or group of users.
Once an appropriate user reviews the task and authorises the referral, the task will be closed. And the risk status will be updated as appropriate.
